Bassem Zahabi is an Athletic Therapist, with an extensive knowledge of sports medicine. He is a graduate of Concordia University’s Faculty of Exercise Science specializing in Athletic Therapy. He is a Certified Athletic Therapist licensed in both Canada and the United States. He is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, and registered as a Massage Therapist and Natural Therapist in Quebec. Bassem uses a global approach when treating his clients, incorporating postural re-education, orthopaedic treatment techniques, rehabilitative exercises, and massage therapy. He combines stretching and deep tissue release in order to obtain an enhanced therapeutic benefit. He continues to broaden his body of knowledge by attending courses and conferences and integrating the latest evidence-based advancements in the profession.Bassem’s past sports experience includes working at events such as the 1999 and 2005, World Triathlon Championships, the 2003 Winter Canada Games and Quebec Games, as well as with teams such as the Canadian Freestyle Ski Team (aerials & moguls) in Italy & Czech Republic in 2005, the Men’s Senior Gymnastics Team, and several Provincial and National Soccer Teams.He has also been involved in the past with professional teams such as Montreal Impact soccer, Cougar’s Football, Running Camp in New York since 1998, Laker’s of Lac St-Louis soccer, Quebec Selects and RIP Ultimate Frisbee club in 2006. He continues to practice his profession with NHL players and athletes from all sport disciplines.
